Foundling Museum Workshops

2025

Across autumn 2025 I was commissioned by the Foundling Museum to deliver a series of creative workshops for young people at the Coborn Centre for Adolescent Mental Health in Newham, East London.

Each session focused on different aspects of belonging and involved using different creative mediums and activities, including: collage and drawing, 3D sculptural making, symbolic flag-making, collaborative weaving and zine making.

Session themes included:

  • Belonging to nature

  • Belonging to objects

  • Belonging to place

  • Belonging to community

  • Belonging to self

The final session, where the young people made their own zines, was inspired by my own making of zines of images and reflections based on the previous week’s work that was made. It was a quick and easy way for me to create tangible outcomes and documentation of what we had created each session.

A huge thank you to Heather Kay at Foundling Museum and dramatherapist Andrea Francis for being such a dream to work with.
